Vreeland was a style icon and
influencer for most of the twentieth century. Known for her impeccable taste and appreciation of the
Avant Garde, she quickly went from being a columnist at the New York Times to Fashion Editor for Harper's Bazaar and later Editor in Chief of Vogue.
